In September 2017 IMSE started with reviewing their processes and internal controls along with a field expert, whose job was to keep the company and management system ,,lean and mean’’. IMSE bvba was able to effectively identify and manage stakeholders significantly in an extensive stakeholder analysis to improve the chances of successful project execution and organisational success. Looking at everything that could go wrong in the marine spare parts industry and determining what the biggest risks are was a challenge but the management was able to show Bureau Veritas the strategic and sustainable way forward that IMSE bvba is sailing. Projects such as the TORQAMP Clean Ship Combustion program define not only the environmental awareness but also the pro-active attitude of IMSE towards emission solutions for the shipping industry. Timing could not be better for IMSE, at the same moment that IMSE is being audited for Quality standards, the International Maritime Organisation announces for the first time a reduction in total GHG emissions from international shipping which to reduce the total annual GHG emissions by at least 50% by 2050 compared to 2008. This also demonstrates the new ISO 9001:2015 visions, not only look at the risks and controls but grab opportunities in the ever-changing market. It is the flexibility of IMSE and its personnel that enables them to remain a high quality and customer focused supplier of the maritime world.

All this combined , along with continuous improvement Bureau Veritas has completed the initial certification process and IMSE is now proud to announce that IMSE IS NOW ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFIED!
